biomedicalephemera: Ecchondroma of the ilium Chondromas are benign cartilaginous tumors, which are formed by errant chondrocytes (cartilage-creating cells) creating encapsulated lobular growths either within bones (enchondromas), or outward from the bones (ecchondromas).
