magicalandsomeweirdhometours:Wait’ll you see this magnificent dream home. It is thought to have been built in 1460 as a rectoral manor house b/c of its ecclesiastical motifs. It’s located in the village of Croscombe, at the edge of the Mendip Hills in Somerset, UK. This is original Gothic. Look at the ancient sitting room. It’s cozy, though, isn’t it? The construction is characterized by roughcast, lime washed walls. That fireplace is so old, I can’t believe it still exists. There are so many architectural remnants still remaining. This is how to preserve an historic home. And, look at this fireplace. This is amazing. In love with this house. Look at that ceiling. The kitchen was modernized, but it has so many old things, you can hardly notice. The industrial salvage work table they’re using as an island looks ancient. This is crazy. Look at the age of this house. This bedroom was renovated and it’s very cozy. This one has the original walls fireplace opening. Even the floors are worn and full of patina. The walls were redone in this room, but they left the fireplace. Cute little room.Large bath so nicely done. The gardens are gorgeous. https://www.desiretoinspire.net/category/gothic/ -- source link
