When she made her entrance, something happened that knocked me out. There was a room full of the biggest stars in the world, and when Marilyn walked in and made her way slowly to the table, her dress was so tight she could hardly move; some people in the room stood on chairs, just to get a look of her, like kids. I’d never seen stars react to another star like that… Marilyn seemed oblivious of them all; she was in one of her armored vapor clouds…she mimicked her old Hollywood whispery voice in her thank-you speech…Each time she caricatured herself, she chipped a piece out of her own dream - Susan Strasberg -- source link
