High after measles exposureFor the last couple of days, there have been news vans parked on the street outside middle fry’s high school. Apparently, about 25 students there had parents that are anti-vaxxers, and one student WITH measles attended school January 6-8. Those students who have not been vaccinated are now not allowed back until they have their shots, and in addition have to stay home for three weeks. This is related to the Disneyland exposure a few weeks ago - middle fry actually went there with a friend during that time. Vaccines are required for school children but parents can sign waivers for “beliefs,” which I was not aware extended beyond religious, but also to the equivalent of the Flat Earth Society. According to this article, 10% of Orange County kindergarteners have not been vaccinated, and five of the people diagnosed from Dismalland are workers there, which means it’s not just among school children.For the sake of infants and immuno-compromised people, this is infuriating.The self-righteous idiocy of anti-vaxxers is appalling.It’s clear the anti-vaxxer kids (or at least their parents) have rejected all education, so boot their offspring!
