ok we dont talk about this enough. this moment? right here? probably the bravest thing nishikis ever done. he has a RAGING amour-propre, he’s SO sensitive to how people perceive him, so attuned to slights, so desperate to be confident and in control, and here he forces all of that pride and insecurity down and willingly embraces the humiliation he thinks is necessary to save his sister. the strength this must have taken is incalculable. however he may have gone wrong, nishiki was a champ through and through. -- source link
