SCANDAL; SCANDAL 10th ANNIVERSARY FESTIVAL"2006-2016" DVD Unboxing Released in November last year, SCANDAL celebrated their 10th year anniversary with a fabulous outdoor festival, at Osaka’s Izumiotsu Phoenix on 21st August! It was a huge success, and this release went on to chart at #3 on the Oricon Weekly Charts, which isn’t too bad! I received and watch my copy (even before I went on my Japan trip), but I kept forgetting about this sitting in the drafts xD Compared to their even earlier Perfect World DVD, this one was just as amazing, if not better! I love, love the setlist to death; we got super early on stuff, like “BEAUTeen!!” and “Koi Moyou”, which I never thought I’ll ever see them perform live anymore, to iconic songs that I know this fandom adores, such as “Hachigatsu” and “Koe”, much less for it to be recorded within a DVD(!) Although I was most happy when they performed “Uchiage Hanabi”, to the point where I nearly teared… it is one of my favourites, but an album song that was never much in the spotlight. It was blissful watching them play that. Of course, they did the really iconic numbers too, like “Shoujo S”, “Shunkan Sentimental” and the newer “Take Me Out”, which I think was so enjoyable too. The whole outdoor atmosphere was also so different from their usual indoor live footage, and to see it go from light to dark enhances that emotional transition as the band goes down the playlist as well. Also loved the behind-the-scenes making-of footage too! The band also did on the spot interviews (mostly just about how they feel about it being their 10th anniversary etc), so that was so nice to watch! I’m one of those people that put on concert DVDs on my TV as I do stuff on my laptop or do illustrations during a lazy weekend home, and I think I’ve played this DVD or like 4 times by now, LOL. That’s how much I enjoyed the live, and I really hope they can do my outdoor one-man lives in future, if possible :B Since I’ve also gotten my best album, I’ll do the unboxing tomorrow!
