thehandthatleads01: She used to pray every night before bed. She would petition God on her knees, hoping for guidance. Hoping for a purpose. For years she waited, desperate to hear the voice of the Lord, certain it would make her complete. But it never came. There was no answer, no divine intervention. Each day she would crawl into bed a little less certain, a little more confused, a little more lost.And then she met Him. There was a conference in His voice that drew her to Him in spite of herself. There was a certainty in His voice that she could not ignore. When He asked things of her it was with a weight that allowed no argument. When He spoke it was as of He were declaring commandments for her life. She found herself growing more dependant on Him by the day, and although she know it should be wrong she couldn’t help herself.Now her nightly prayers are different. She still prays on her knees, but it is not to an unseen diety. Now she prays to the Man she has devoted herself to. To the Man who owns her so very completely. She prays to the Man who controls her life. Most importantly, she knows that He hears her prayers. He has given her structure, and through service to Him she has finally found a purpose. She can feel His presence daily, and she trembles at His touch. She is putty in His hands, and He shapes her with every new rule He bestows.He is no god, but she has given Him so much that it hardly matters.
