There’s some great stuff coming up over the next couple of months, so I thought I should get writing again.More to come in due course but in the meantime, enjoy this shot of Testcard ‘C’. First used by the BBC in 1948, some regional transmitters used variations of this with at least three designs in use by the BBC, while ITV had a version of its own. Test Card C continued to be used until the early 1970s. Personally I like it how the limits imposed on it by televisions of the era in effect ‘design’ the test patterns it carries.Thanks to TV Ark for the image and the information. -- source link
