ask-grillby:[[ wanted to try my hand at underfell!grillby ;) ]]Grilllby has been known to have a noticeably short temper, be exceptionally selfish, a bit flamboyant, narcissistic, greedy, and very much in love with money and power. His bar is exclusive only to high end club members. You can only get in after befriending the dog couple, who convince the guard at the door to allow you in. Befriending Grillby is optional. In the first few attempts, he is too cold and full of himself to even consider your friendship. He’s surprised that you’re so persistent, but he brushes you off anyway. By the sixth attempt, his irritation begins to accumulate and he warns you to “leave him alone” and that you’re “becoming a stick up his ass”. After this dialogue, should you choose to return to the restaurant, you’ll find that he’s gone. The dog couple reveal that he’d left on an errand. You’ll then find him in the Wishing Room of the Waterfall. Here, Grillby admits that the respect he receives from his customers is derived from fear- not the type of kindness which you , on the other hand, have been expressing. He says that having no true “friends” is lonely and ultimately presents you with two choices: fight him and establish your willingness to become friends, or leave and give up. If you chose to fight him, you must endure his attacks for 13 turns. After realizing your determination, he ends the battle. He admits that your determination is admirable before taking his leave, deeper into the Waterfall. The next and final attempt is back at the restaurant. This time, Grillby’s dialogue is slightly more amiable and he subtly implies that you two are now friends. -- source link
