little—games:Hallelujah anon! That was exactly my state of mind.I only played the path with the Unseen Elder once, because it’s boring compared to the “Beyong Hill and Dale”-Quest. the dialogue in the playroom is goldExcept for the cool vampire tribe things you find in the cave and cute little grumpy murderous Elder, that whole path is meh. And to be the final straw: that all leads to us killing Dettlaff. But the conversation of Regis and Geralt outside the cave - my feelings, my poor feelings. For everyone who isn’t familiar with the conversation:Regis: “You could simply walk away. So why, my friend? Why stay and risk your hide?Geralt: For you. You’re in a heap of trouble Regis. Trouble Dettlaff brought on. Seen you die once already. That one time was enough.” Regis: “I… I’m not certain I know what to say. I am… grateful, Geralt.”As always you have different options like “I don’t know”, but may the one who takes “for the money” be doomed forever, there is only one answer: For you. They love each other, they simply do. If you ship them or not, may it be bromance or romance wise. That “emotionless” witcher shows his feelings to the vampire. I’m not certain if Geralt ever said something else so deep to another person in the Witcher 3. And the most important little detail here is: Regis DOESN’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY! The most eloquent vampire around doesn’t know what to say to Geralt’s declaration of love! That’s it ladies and gentleman.I won’t play that path again, because I’m still of the opinion, that Dettlaff shouldn’t die. In this case you have to kill him and that tears my heart apart. The way Regis takes the step to Geralt’s side after realising there is no more help for Dettlaff. This is too much. I’m sorry for the long rambling, but I needed to say this, over and out. Thank you very much anon ●﹏●When I was new to the series, I had no idea who Regis was or what his relationship was like to Geralt in the books. I think CDPR did a great job establishing that these two have a deep friendship and admiration for one another. In TW3 Regis is the only male friend Geralt openly hugs. Much of their dialogue can be interpreted as romantic on its own. (And this follow up comment? Not an accident.) More in the tags. -- source link
