The abandoned Libbey glassware factory in Shreveport, Louisiana, was one of the largest tableware manufacturers in the world. It was closed on December 31, 2020, after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. They’d been in business in Shreveport for 98 years, 47 of which were at this location. Sadly, Covid-19 was largely responsible for the plant’s closing. Approximately 450 workers lost their jobs. -- source link
