vi0lentquiche::D it wouldn’t stay inflated tbh but considering how challenged I usually am in the crafts department I’m pretty happy with it. Instructions can be found here, courtesy of Alex Yue and Janice Poon. I used this HD version of the Vitruvian Man, printed on matte 90g A5 sized paper (14.8×21.0 cm, 5.83×8.27 in) and cut off the bottom to make it into a perfect square (you can use it for folding the arteries). I’ve never folded origami before or held actual origami paper so I don’t know if it’s supposed to be thicker, but 90g worked very well. It folds easily but it’s sturdy enough that it doesn’t disintegrate when shaped and re-shaped. And it’s obviously better to flip it sideways or upside down so you don’t end up with a Vitruvian head staring at you sternly from center of your origami heart (although that might mean you will end up with his crotch in the center instead, which, hey). With only ~200 days left until RDC2 I don’t think I can manage a thousand of these :p but I’ll bring a stack of ready-to-fold paper to the con to give out. Plus if anyone wants to make a dozen or a couple hundred at home and bring them along we can actually string them together like an appropriately hellish garland, and make a wish (╯_╰) -- source link
