One more quick sketch for mermay. Unfortunately I don’t have the time as of late to do full renders so hopefully my little sketches suffice. Been on a real “Ursula” streak with these mermaids.The arrows label points of interest. The head pointing out the “true eyes” on the top with the 2 “face receptors” giving the illusion of human set eyes, or “false eyes.” The arrow on the head+body points to the “false lips” which are distinct marking on the face tentacles to give the impression of human lips. -- source link
