vculibraries:A little boy dreams of flying in this promotional comic strip by “Steve.”Edgar F. “Steve” Schilder (1888-1963) was an American cartoonist and editor who worked at a number of newspapers around the United States. His pen name “Steve” came from the black cat that appeared in many of his cartoons. The Adventures of Eva, Pora and Ted, was published by the Evaporated Milk Association in 1931, four years after Lindbergh’s transatlantic flight.
