“Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.” ― Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky {January 2017} One of the many lessons I learned in 2016. It was the part of a rollercoaster ride where you feel like you’re going to crash into the ground because it’s going downhill and nothing but downhill very steeply and very very fast. It was a tough, painful, exhausting and devastating year. I’ve met all my limits - physically, mentally, financially - and one point it looked like I would lose the one thing that keeps me going no matter what, the one thing that helpled me beat my ED, put an end to my suicidal thoughts and my misery, what has helped me find my way in this world, the way to happiness and contenment: Johann. It was a close call at the end of a year with a lot of stumbling blocks along a very narrow, windy road for the both of us and it was much worse for him than it was for me. For me it was so bad because it was so bad for him. Don’t min me being omnious, if I wrote it all down, it would probably take me days and you’d be bored three sentences in anyway. But this is why there have been hardl any updates to this blog in the last year. Things have luckily finally changed for the better just before Christmas so here is to a new year with less drama, less heartache and awful surprises and more laughter, more blissful moments and a ton of pretty pictures! -- source link
