Hello Everyone HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH! *Please check put @chibimagicalgirl for her ultimate Black cosplayer list. If you want to be added or know someone to be added. I want to start off by saying that in my 10+ years of cosplaying it has been an honor as a POC to see more and more Black cosplayers and just any POC csoplayers grow! When I first started cosplaying way back in 2006 there were very few of us. As a mixed woman Black and White (yes i know im very light) I had much discrimination at cons. I was told NOT to cosplay because i wasn’t white and I was even one told that my skin looked like PISS and that it was a shame that i was wearing such a beautiful dress. My group of frienda and i were scared but still pursued our passion and we are all BLESSED to see so many Black cosplayers. We love you all so much you have no idea. If you are an older cosplayer from early 2000s you know the deal yo!
