bimboisbetter: Henry felt bad for the girls sometimes. Not often, just at this point, during the delivery. He wasn’t sure where they came from in the first place - he only ever saw them once they were at the facility. They were all so happy there, prancing around naked, giggling and playing and being led around. He’d asked where they all came from, but he never got a straight answer. The official word was that they all volunteered for treatment. Seemed unlikely to him, but he knew better than to ask questions. His job was delivery. They’d load up in the car, giggling and docile, blinking dumbly at him. He’d drive them to their pickup point. It was an easy job, but one that was taken extremely seriously. Losing a girl was… well, Henry didn’t let himself think about what would happen in that case. They all came into the car with the same personality. Giggly, excited, dumb and cheerful. Then, about five minutes outside of the grounds of the facility, something happened. As far as Henry could tell, they all had that standard personality as they went through processing. Probably made them easier to train, or whatever. They needed their new, custom personality in place when they got to the pickup, of course. Those varied a lot - whatever the customer wanted. Usually they weren’t too far from the standard one, but Henry had seen some unusual shit. He wasn’t one to judge, though. That unusual shit kept him in a job, after all. Five minutes out, though. That seemed to be where the change happened. They’d get quiet, and look really intense. Sometimes they’d squeeze their eyes tightly closed, or hold their head in their hands. Occasionally they looked scared. That’s when Henry felt bad. Then they’d blink, and usually smile, and they’d be back to… well, not normal. They’d be back to themselves. The new version of themselves. And everything would be fine. He’d make the dropoff, get a decent tip, and head back to the facility. Whenever Henry felt really bad, or wasn’t sure this was the line of work for him, he put in a request for a sample. There was always a girl around who was at a good point in her training, and they’d use her as a… morale booster for the staff. It was the perks of this job, really, that kept Henry and the other guys around. -- source link
