My final project with ECCT - I took shattered silk linings from a few of our antique tailcoats, gently picked out the stitches, and used the pieces to construct new patterns and handstitched the replacement parts into place. These poor coats were in rough shape - at least one of them I’m positive was pre-1920 at least. I’m glad I could give them a second chance! -- source link
