missfolly:Lady Alice More (c.1474-c.1551). Painted c. 1530. Studio of Hans Holbein the Younger (c.1497/98-1543). Oil on panel. This intimate portrait of Alice More is the only surviving independent and contemporary likeness of the second wife of Sir Thomas More (1478 – 1535), one of Holbein’s greatest and most famous patrons. Once considered to be the hand of Holbein himself, it was more likely produced under his supervision by his studio in Basel. -- source link
