Xenophon of Athens (c. 430 - c. 354 BCE) Greek historian whose works cover the last years of 5th and early years of 4th century BCE. He was also a mercenary who participated Cyrus the Younger’s unsuccesful war against Persian ruler Artaxerxes II of Persia.
