As the daughter of Ares and Aphrodite, she brings harmony to marital relationships as well as the conduct of soldiers in war. She is also regarded as the goddess of cosmic balance. Harmonia was worshiped by the Romans as Concordia.The story of the Harmony Society itself is fascinating. Founded in 1785, members of this Utopian group immigrated from Germany to the United States, where they founded three settlements that were wildly successful, economically. Meanwhile, the Society’s private studies focused on the Western Mystery Tradition, including Theosophy, Christian Kabbalah, astrology, and alchemy - perhaps the key to the ingenious machinery the Society used in their factories, and their innovative agricultural practices. The practice of limiting newcomers to the group, along with the custom of celibacy in the group, eventually brought the Harmony Society to an end in 1906.Read More ->--source link
