Episode 8 opens rather interestingly- Yuxiu has a dream where she chases a foggy spirit- that looks a little like her- only to fall off a cliff into a starry abyss, but Ling saves her at the last minute, calling her name. Then she wakes up. Is this Yuxiu remembering a representation of something that’s happened before, or is this a portentous dream foreshadowing future events? We’ve seen Ling calm Yuxiu down in the bast when it seemed she was about to unleash her powers- is she in danger of losing herself, and is Ling the only thing that can anchor her? -- source link
