Tom Stoppard gives us a few glimpses in the tv series, but I was still not satisfied. I wanted to know how exactly we get from the first to the last picture. So I wrote fanfiction. After years and years of lurking and reading slash, I wrote het.emma and phantomviola encouraged me to post it, and beta-read the whole thing. And I love seeing where she and I had imagined things to be the same — or different — between Sylvia and Christopher during the infamous train sex scene.I haven’t finished reading yet - I’m halfway through - but so far it’s fascinating. I love how St. Michael keeps popping up, especially as Sylvia is…preparing herself, I suppose. Really, really perfectly in character for her, that strange mix of irreverence and faith.Okay!
