Opening October 12, visit a full-scale replica of Korean-born artist Do Ho Suh’s former New York City apartment—complete with light fixtures, radiators, and even an intercom! Titled Perfect Home ll, the replica draws upon ideas of cultural displacement, a longing for home, and the important connections we make between physical places and memory. This presentation is part of our One Brooklyn series, which focuses on an individual work chosen from our encyclopedic collection to reveal the many stories woven into a single work of art. Take a walk through this new contemporary artwork from October 12–January 27, 2019.Do Ho Suh (born Seoul, South Korea, 1962). The Perfect Home II, 2003. Translucent nylon.
