For the most part, they are objects that are not part of our everyday normal lives, items that we see walking down the street. The belt is different. It is a causal item, seen on a majority of the men and quite a few of the women we interact with during the day. Unlike a whip, no aspect of violence, sex or culture is brought to mind when one is seen. Unlike cuffs or chains, the possession of one in your hand while walking down the street would not elicit a second glance. Yet the simple belt is a symbol of so much in our lives, and an item of great versatility. It is almost always ready available to a man, easy to draw out. For a woman at almost any stage of her training, the sight and sound of his belt slipping through the loops of his pants will have a powerful resonance. It is the sound of him undressing and exposing his manhood to her, and should bring out her longing. It is the sound of him preparing to bind her, and should remind her that she is his possession.
