This pointy lad is the Warszewitsch’s frog [Lithobates warszewitschii], a frequently misspelled species native to Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. These frogs vocalize without the use of a croak sac, instead producing a short, soft trill in order to attract mates. This specimen was found in Heredia, Costa Rica, by Gonzalo Mucientes Sandoval. -- source link
