lichenaday: Bryoria simpliciorPersonally, I don’t think there is anything simplistic about B. simplicior. What a beauty, am I right? This hair-like, fruticose lichen hangs in small tufts or hanging streamers. The surface is shiny, and brown to black in coloration. There are oval or round soralia along the branches that bow out wider than the branch width. They contain convex masses of pale greenish-brown, powdery soredia. B. simplicior grows on trees and branches in montane and boreal areas. images: source | source | source | sourceinfo: source | source -- source link
