“Sometimes I dream about that day. But it’s not a memory. It’s not a nightmare either, not even when they hurt me. Because I see light. You’re there, coming to save me - well, not quite you, exactly. But I know it’s you. And this time, we both win. We both get to escape, together… Heh, pretty dumb dream, huh?”This is my drow rogue Ghaunvyll Dul'Kran, bio below~Ghaunvyll Dul'Kran | Drow | 90 years old | 4’ 8’’ | Charlatan | Arcane Trickster Rogue | Chaotic Neutral~PersonalityFull of energy, which he pours with equal gusto into both stupid pranks and grandiose quests. Despite his playful and cheeky attitude, he’s dedicated to working hard and honing his skills.~IdealsWhile too young to have a clear set of ideals, he despises drow society and enjoys the freedom he’s seen on the surface.~BondsHis god Vhaeraun and the band of thieves who helped him escape Lolth’s priestesses. He dearly loves his father and often worries about him.~FlawsHe craves attention and often shows off or acts up to get it, usually getting hurt in the process. He’s an immature prankster who lacks good sense or morals.~BackstoryGhaunvyll was the third child, and only son, of a priestess of Lolth. In her disgust at bearing a son, she left him to the care of his impaired father. His desperate attempts to claim her approval only led to her isolating him more, as he infuriatingly got underfoot. Eventually, he tarnished a spider idol in an attempt to get revenge for the way she treated him and his beloved father. At this, the sisterhood ordained to mutilate his face and ears in punishment before killing him.His father smuggled him out of the city before they could finish the deed, but Ghaunvyll was soon at death’s door as he struggled to navigate the Underdark alone. A band of devotees to Vhaeraun found him just in time.He adored the dogma of the trickster god, seeing himself in the defiant son of Lolth. Without hesitation, he began working for the cult, learning the ways of a thief. In his eagerness to prove himself, he willingly throws himself into any lucrative task, regardless of the distance and the danger. He has forged a false identity - the innocent Ilmatari girl Ansa Takala - with which to blend in on the surface and leech funds off the unsuspecting. -- source link
