Often a man or men will keep looking down at her anklet and smile or nod. I always encourage her to smile, nod back and then twist her ankle some to encourage them. In restaurants a few men have come over to our table or wait until we are leaving and compliment her on her anklet. If we are still seated I ask him to join us. Some have picked up our bill. In bars and lounges men approach in a similar manner. I try to read Cheryl to determine if I should extend the conversation. If she is responding positively I will explain the meaning of her anklet. We let it proceed from there…sometimes to a night of pleasure with a new stranger.
