The story of The Tiger N°131 :King George VI inspecting the Tiger N°131 after it was captured by the 48th Royal Tank Regiment (RTR) during the Battle of Longstop Hill. During the Battle of Longstop, some churchill tank tried to penetrate the 100mm Tiger armor but they failed.3 “lucky” shots stopped the Tiger :-The first shot ricocheted under the cannon, the turret couldn’t rotate anymore. The pilot, the gunner were wounded because of the shrapnel.-The second shot ricocheted between the turret and the chassis the shell destroyed the elevator cannon system.-The third shot destroyed the hatch loader wounding the loader and the commander.The crew abandoned the tank but they didnt destroyed the Tiger. The tank is now in the Bovington museum, still functional he was used in Fury.——————————————-L'histoire du Tigre N°131 :Le Roi George VI inspectant le Tigre N°131 après avoir été capturé par le 48e Régiment de Char durant la campagne de Tunisie lors de la percée de la Longstop Hill. Pendant cette bataille, certains Churchill ont essayé de pénétrer le blindage de 100m du Tigre mais ils ont échoué .3 tirs “chanceux” on stoppés le Tigre :-Le premier tir va ricocher contre le canon, empêchant celle-ci de pivoter. L'obus a projeté des éclats dans la partie avant du char, blessant le pilote, le mitrailleur et détruisant la radio.-Un second tir va de nouveau réussir à atteindre la jonction entre la tourelle et la caisse, détruisant du même coup le système d'élévation du canon et blessant le tireur.-Enfin, un troisième tir, va pulvériser la trappe du chargeur (située à gauche de la tourelle) et projeter à des éclats à l'intérieur du char, blessant le chargeur et le commandant.L'équipage a abandonné le Tigre mais ne l'a pas sabordé.
