ranarh:ArtgerechtFor Month of Fear 2020, final week: “Treat”.There are butterfly species who get their salt need out of tears - some even irritate their hosts’ eyes to get them flowing. Offering a treat for all kind of fellow creatures isn’t always easy. This was in part inspired by the insect theme in my Month of Fear contributions and in part by the discussion about what healthy food is which I’ve had when adopting my new cats recently. It may be that cats do best with mice, but live feeding is illegal in Germany so everything is a compromise. For the same reason of new pets I didn’t finish this piece in traditional paint like I wanted, but the sketch is already on canvas so I will still do it later and treat this as a sort of study. -- source link
