And how it gives him experience in understanding the difference between pain and injury. Even though I don’t sub at the moment, I can certainly subscribe to that. Exercise (especially resistance training) seems to help a lot with understanding your own physical abilities and how pain, as a signal of possible damage, differs from discomfort that you need to push through to actually grow. Plus, abusing and challenging yourself a bit feels much better than avoiding it. I think human bodies are made for more challenging situations than we usually face today in an office chair. Maybe that’s one of the reasons why BDSM games can feel so amazing.
