dearjulianna2015: Dear Julianna My name is Stephanie, and I’m 20 years old. I have Spinal Muscular Atrophy and have used a wheelchair my whole life. I can’t breathe by myself either. Since I was a little girl at your age, I’ve used a mask just like you. Two months before I turned 18, I got a breathing machine attached to my throat. It doesn’t hurt and it truly gave me my life back. Now I’m a student at Danish Talent Academy. I’m going to graduate as an author in the summer next year. Who says that dreams can’t come true? When I was born the doctors told my parents that I wasn’t going to live more than a year. I definitely feel alive, and I love it. I have four cats, a lovely dog, two parents and a lot of friends, and they love me for who I am. I dream of a life with a husband, a house and a lot of books. Maybe I should just move into the library? Dream big and have faith that you’ll succeed. I believe in you, Julianna. I’m sending you a photo taken at my grandma’s birthday this year. If you or your parents wants to talk about anything, then you are more than welcome to contact me on Facebook. Take care, Stephanie Fjeldsø FischerImage: Stephanie wearing glasses smiling in her power wheelchair with her trach in a blouse and sweater with hair braided on the side. -- source link
