The Adventures of Marion DuvalCreated by Yvan Pommaux, edited by Bayard and [in these 5 covers] illustrated by Philippe Masson“Marion Duval” is a series that’s heavily influenced what I look for in a story and characters. Every album revolves around Marion, her journalist father and her friends getting caught up in all sorts of adventures and mysteries. Think of it as a series of kid thrillers but with actual stakes, and not nearly as cheesy as Nancy Drew or the Hardy Boys (not that those were no good). The story ideas were original, engaging and HELL how could I not love a spunky, mystery-chasing, kid action girl. HOW?So, yep, indulging in some shameless spam plugging of my childhood – also, one piece of fanart that I drew because REASONS.
