silvermoon424:Read PQ AngelsDownload high quality raw scansPQ Angels is a series by Naoko Takeuchi, the mangaka behind Sailor Moon and Codename: Sailor V. The series revolve around two aliens, the vivacious and scatterbrained Peanut (known as P-ko) and the responsible and elegant Kyuuri (known as Q-ko), who arrive on Earth from the planet Fuiren (rendered as “Cockroachian” in the fan translation). They are looking for Queen Anko, their missing ruler, as they are her strongest bodyguards. P-ko and Q-ko take the forms of cockroaches, but when they “kiss,” or land on, a human’s lips, they transform into pretty girls. In order to transform into their fighting forms, they must kiss each other. This comes in handy, considering that they’re being pursued by menacing aliens who seem to be connected to Queen Anko’s disappearance…PQ Angels was serialized in Nayakoshi Magazine (the same magazine that ran Sailor Moon) from September to December of 1997. It was Naoko Takeuchi’s first major production after the end of Sailor Moon. Unfortunately, only the first four chapters were published before Kodansha LTD (the company that publishes Nakayoshi) lost Takeuchi’s manuscripts. Understandably upset by this, Takeuchi dropped PQ Angels and even discontinued releasing her work through Kodansha for a period of several years. As a result, PQ Angels ended with no actual conclusion to the story ever made. Unfortunately, it’s probably safe to assume that Takeuchi won’t pick the series up again. It’s a real shame, because out of all of her unfinished works, I felt like this one by far had the most potential. Despite that, PQ Angels is still a very cute and fun, if very short, read. Much of its charm revolves around P-ko and Q-ko, who are very similar to Usagi Tsukino and Rei Hino, respectively. I’d love to see more appreciation for this series! Accidental or not, It’s quiet a shame that “PQ Angels” got screwed over like that, it would’ve been such a good series similar to Sailor Moon. -- source link
