But her legacy lives on through films and recordings, as well as the actions of those whom she inspires.As Wikipedia noted, she received accolades that were well deserved: Inducted to the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2012, Franklin was described as “the voice of the civil rights movement, the voice of black America” and a “symbol of black equality”.
