supercooper-tvhead: hey! i dont usually post on tumblr other than reblogging stuff, but i recently talked to a friend of mine who got me into these obscure phone charms called anizos. there’s not a lot of information about them on the internet, but from what she told me they were made as mood charms to express different personality traits, hobbies, and interests. they were mostly only available in japan, but super limited amounts may have been localized for korea and america at some point.i actually remember having one as a kid years ago, but i lost it and totally forgot about the series until i met @rejectclone (who has a great instagram with TONS of obscure charms and figures from japan) and saw she posted one of them. this inspired me to look for anizos on yahoo auctions and i found a giant bag of them for $5. almost all of the charms included pamphlets from different series, some were clear variants and others had unique sculpts (like the cow in series 14 or the swirly/flat anizo from series 21). they are about an inch in size, but there were special “mega anizos” that were slightly larger (see series 17). i can also take photos of the charms i got if people wanna see them.my favorite definitely has to be in series 21, the green dude with the tent on the back of his head. he looks like shrek.apparently these old pamphlets (and anizos in general) are hard to find and not documented well on the internet, so i hope people find these scans useful and good for preservation. again shout out to my friend @rejectclone who really helped me out with information and got me back into collecting these cute lil charms! :^) -- source link
