She was seen by many among the Dalish as a puppet of the Chantry. Even if they were slave markings once upon a time, the Dalish had made them into something else. Reclaimed them. And her vallaslin was all she had left that connected her to her past. She couldn’t let him remove it.She shrank in upon herself, not physically, but mentally preparing herself for him to think less of her as she tried to explain the jumble of thoughts going through her mind. But he didn’t need an explanation.
