I had been trying to out wait winter, so that I could travel safely and photograph the models for 50 in the not so freezing cold, but I had gone stir crazy sitting inside waiting. So it was February 1st and I found myself already traveling trying to arrange shoots for the book.I’d worked with Henna before, but when I arrived in Maryland and the blizzard began I had my doubts as to whether or not she was still going to be excited about shooting in the nude with snow blanketing the ground all around us, or even able to make the drive up into the mountains, but we worked out a plan that involved me baring the brunt of the cold, but allowed us to capture her beauty juxtaposed against the harsh winter landscape by using reflections. She still had to get cold, but when I looked on the back of the camera I was relieved to see how perfectly the images had turned out. Frosty and cold, but still a beautiful Maryland landscape.
