etudiance: hey y’all! i’m adding this post to a long series on college apps that started with my teacher recs post! this is gonna cover a bunch of important tools to use when searching for scholarships- they all helped me out a lot! this list will probably be updated over time. click the original post to see new info. some tips: your academic institution may (and most often does) have its own merit scholarships for you to apply for. look into them! some schools don’t require applications, some do. make sure you know how your school works and take advantage of all the resources it provides! your state may also have scholarships! make sure to search for any kind of scholarships that are provided by your state, or even just specific to your state when using a scholarship search tool (aka one of the websites below), search multiple different things! look for all different things that apply to your identity, so that you can see every single scholarship that you may be eligible for make a spreadsheet of every scholarship you’re eligible for, with the date it’s due and the application website. organize your spreadsheet so that the dates are in numerical order, and make sure you get to every scholarship app you can. check out this super important scholarship tip!!!! the scholarship sites below are listed in order by my faves. the lowest ones are the ones I don’t use, but they’re still search tools. you don’t have to use every single site, most of them have the same info! just choose which one works best for you. search tools & sites: SCHOLARSHIPS BY DEADLINE!!!! (mostly for the previous academic year as of right now but most dates still apply. will probably be updated soon) Scholarships.com Collegeboard Unigo Chegg Cappex Niche FastWeb ScholarshipOwl CollegeScholarships.com Petersons.com StudentScholarships.org Free-4u.com more masterposts!! teacher recs stem studying study methods precalculus algebra (i + ii) geometry (ap) chemistry ap world history studyblr-ing the everything book the pomodoro method how to use flashcards how to use sticky notes welcome to high school tiny study spaces what’s in a pencil case scholarships are super important and really helpful since our (the US) government and society apparently don’t value education enough to make it accessible to everyone! make sure you apply to as many as you can (without mentally draining yourself)! anyway, I hope this helps!! keep shining like the star you are and remember to be awesome today!! - anum (yes, I used to go by aza. times change lol) -- source link
