swordsagedachsie:im-not-trash-im-compost:skiesfall-from-the-stars:bloominflowers:Mushroom witch and her little mushroom friends*immediately wants to draw this*aaaaaaaaaaaaThis is cool. It would be neat to see other witches based on different mushrooms and ground level flora. @swordsagedachsie I actually HAVE coincidentally made haunting fungi beings before - for my original comics/art account: @nonbinarystar . AND I’ve done endangered enemic species too, as well as anthro versions of trees and flowers for various drawing month challenges [ 1 2 3 4 5 6]. AAAAND I’ve posted most of them here to this blog (because for some reason this blog of mostly rehashed aesthetic content has 2,155 in less than 2 years but my art blog has less than a 950 after more than 3 - so you can see my desperation to share my work to relevant spaces) … But they never really get any reblogs. In addition to venting, I suppose what I am saying is that personifying fauna is not actually as niche as some may believe. I’ve done it and I’ve seen a lot of other very talented artists do it too. Its just relatively a LOT harder to get most of this content out there where most people can see.And personally, I am really passionate about it because I think its a great way to get people to notice a species they never would’ve thought about before. I would even like to do this more often but its hard spending time towards making content you know won’t do well versus interspersing it with more #relateable trends people usually engage with.If you or anyone want to see more content like this 1) consider reblogging the artwork you find and leaving a comment ( like you^ just did). “ ❤ ” Likes are nice but are sort of like potato chips. A ton of likes never really help an artist survive as much as sharing their work in an approved way.2) Throwing them a tip (maybe with a comment about which peices you liked and want to see more of). Its easy to say artists should do art for the passion - but the dystopian reality is that no matter how much we like to draw: a happy heart doesn’t feed a hungry stomach. …If we get tips for the work others enjoy, it lets us know that time spent creating this content instead of -say- monetizing our every moment and finding a second or third job - is time well spent. It doesn’t take much to encourage us because we like to draw these things too - but tipping your local artist is still an important way to encourage them to spend more time drawing. Or even just as a simple “thank you” for their work.Personally my Kofi is /nonbinarystarcomics.If you or anyone you know is an artist who draws anthropomorphized flora (plant and fungi) species - please link their page and share their tipping links if they have any! -- source link
