Hey fam! @anitadolcevita (owner of #dapperQ and executive producer of our fashion shows) here! You have probably noticed that we have not been publishing on the website as often, but we are still very much continuing to create queer style and beauty content that celebrates our voices and bodies at the forefront. The most exciting and time consuming work has been writing a book that will be published in print by a major publishing house! We have also been working with organizations and retail brands, providing digital trainings on how to dismantle harmful binaries in company dress codes and build inclusive shopping experiences by discontinuing the use of gendered language and binary “men’s” and “women’s” sections in stores and online. We are also continuing to work with @nycpride to showcase LGBTQ+ youth fashion. We are also excited to announce that our team is already working with @brooklynmuseum to bring back our annual New York Fashion Week show in September 2022. Stay tuned for event and casting announcements to come on our website. I personally have been balancing this work with a (more than) full-time, on-site day job, working as a Clinical Trials Nurse, Manager, and Unit Director on COVID-19 vaccine and treatment trials since the beginning of the pandemic. It has been important for me to ensure diversity, inclusion, equity, and access across the conduct of all research and represent queer Black femmes in STEM. Thanks to all of our followers and readers for continuing to support dapperQ as a community-engaged platform for all things #queerfashion Stay safe fam! #blackwomeninstem #queerstyle https://www.instagram.com/p/CYhHhSQux-Y/?utm_medium=tumblr -- source link
