The gown for the shoot was acquired directly from Versace’s atelier and was handed to the Princess on a hanger reading Lady Diana. The striking silver blue dress was Beautifully decorated with gold tone studs and pyramids, blue topaz and aqua marine. The silk-lined interior features an Atelier Versace label - the Haute Couture line of The House of Versace and indicates one-of-a-kind pieces. After Diana, Princess of Wales’ untimely death in August 1997, the shoot took on a new depth.
