Νοσοι The Nosoi were the personified spirits of plague, sickness and disease. They were numbered amongst the evil spirits which escaped from Pandora’s jar. In most Homeric literature, however, the arrows of Apollon and Artemis were the bringers of plague and sickness rather than bands of daimones. -- source link
