laurellerual: Day 27: Mythological parallels - Skaði Skaði is a jötunn of norse mythology. Her attributes are the skis and the bow with which she hunts accompanied by packs of wolves (Nymeria). She shares these symbols with the mysterious winter god Ullr (Jon?). Skaði reigns from her father’s seat in the snow-capped mountains. She joins the ranks of the gods of Ásgarðr by taking the sea god Njörðr as her husband, but they live apart. She has a vengeful inclination and a weird sense of humor. The two figures could also be linked because Skaði is a typically masculine name (like the name Arya). She sort of looks like a spearwife princess or some old witch queen in the songs if you want. -- source link
