At the time, I thought it was funny there was a record label named after a pickle. This was Gherkin Records, who had roughly 11 subsidiary labels and released most of the music, usually variations of house, between 1989 and 1990. At the time, I could never find any records on Gherkin, this was back when if you wanted it, you had to do a special order. It wasn’t urgent so I never ordered.
