Hard to believe #WJCC2022 is over. Bummed my #Adings had a rough day during the final, but Ate is still super proud of @teamkapp for winning silver. And yes, they won silver! It’s easy to forget that sometimes, but there are some Canadians & Norwegians who’d rather trade places right now In the end, I feel like Craik just had a little more experience than Kapp and leaned on that experience enough to get the victory. . . To borrow a page from what Niklas Edin said in an interview about his 2018 Olympic loss - it’s not like they played a bad game, they just faced a team w/ more experience. I’m paraphrasing a little but basically Nik said he lost to someone who was playing in his 4th Olympics (Shuster). 4 years later he got to be the guy playing in his 4th Olympics & the one who took home Olympic gold, seemingly against all odds because everyone & their mom basically already handed Mouat the gold even before the Olympics started. Craik played second for Whyte when Scotland got bronze in 2019 & then skipped the Scottish team to another bronze in 2020. This was Benny’s first year at World Juniors & he skipped his team to silver I’m so proud & my heart is full of hope for next year. @bennykapp @felix.messenzehl & @johannes.scheuerl have 2 more cracks at getting that Worlds gold #Füssen next year would be prime timing Oh how I wish I could be there to cheer in person. . .
