Not sure how I feel about it. It feels like I’m half reading Hentai, half reading Transformers and it makes me very uncomfortable. I like the art itself, but the choice of poses and panel composition is just *UGH* you know?Yeah, I got you. If a “suggestive” pose makes female readers uncomfortable when used on a female character, using it on a male character doesn’t make it right. It’s something I would expect in some japanese slash doujinshi, not in official TF comics. Not to mention that Rodimus is drawn with a very feminized body (Roddy has a feminine body shape in Milne’s hand along with some other bots with slim body type, but in Sakamoto’s case it’s clearly his way of drawing “female” body), it certainly tells something about the artist. Sakamoto you goddamn creep stop doing thisSo female thigs and broad hips are sexy and utterly welcome on Drift and Trepan, but they’re hentai and wrong on Rodimus. Better pull your pants up, tumblr, your hypocrisy is showing…I’d want to go back to the subject of suggestive posesWhy were these scenes/characters so appropriate/hot/funny to the fandom? But suddenly it’s different when Sakamoto draws a similar pose. It’s all fanservice.“Clearly his way of drawing female body.” Get out. Seriously, just go. Rodimus looks NO DIFFERENT in that panel than he normally does! His proportions are exactly the same as they’ve been for the majority of the series, barring slightly different takes from guest artists. Oh no! An artist you hate stuck to the character model! What a travesty! Heaven forbid he sully your beloved characters with his dirty little hands! Seriously though, fuck off. He screwed up before with the boob jiggle, and you guys are just looking for things to be mad about now. EDIT: Forgot to mention how homophobic this comes off, by the way. “Rodimus is hot! But I think you drew him like a girl! Ew! Creepy!” Seriously? He’s attractive/sexy until YOU PERCEIVE him as having “feminine” features? Tbh, that says a lot more about you than the artist. Take a step back and do a little thinking.can we just enjoy the comic in peace good godtbh it looks like he’s being cutesy not sexual and if you see it that way then that’s your problemomg so much hypocrisy that I need to reblog!Sakamoto is AMAZING that’s all I honestly feel like he was making a point with Rodimus’ hip wiggle lines, like he knew there was going to be less outrage over a male-identifying character than a female-identifying character. And guess fucking what. -- source link
