montereybayaquarium: If you’re gearing up for your Trivia Tuesday, here’s some good ones for you: Solander’s Trivia and the Coffee Bean Trivia! Trivia are minuscule, beautiful sea snails that parade about in search of morsels to munch. Their ornate shells are kept clear by spectacularly decorated bodies that lick the shell clean of grime and growth. In this post, Solander’s Trivia Pusula solandri are the first two images, the Coffee Bean Trivia Pseudopusula californiana the last two. Solander’s is typically found south of Point Conception, while the Coffee Bean Trivia covers much of the California coastline. All photos by Marco Mazza in SoCal!
