Time Crash - Behind the Scenes - Part Six Excerpts from Benjamin Cook article in DWM #389: This is 2007′s Children in Need effort from the Doctor Who team here at Upper Boat Studios, in Cardiff. Filming on a Sunday (Peter is starring in Monty Python musical Spamalot in the West End during the week), this mini-episode is enough to make grown men wet themselves with excitement, featuring not one but two incarnations of the Doctor. “Look around,” grins Phil Collinson, the producer. “We’re all frothing at the mouths.”“It’s Doctor Who!” enthuses Steven Moffat, one of the frothing fanboys watching from the sidelines. He’s also the writer of this scene.“Ha hah! This is so good,” exclaims David [Tennant], another frother. He should know better than to get this excited. He doesn’t know better. He’s proud to be frothing. “I’m loving it,” he tells DWM. “It’s incredible.”Even the returning hero, Sir Peter of Davison, is ever so slightly in awe. “It looks just like the toy,” he marvels, inspecting the TARDIS set. It’s grander than it was in his day, less like dying and waking up in Ikea. “And I speak as someone who’s had to put together the toy,” he adds.“Awwww, I love the toy,” cries David. “It makes all the noises as well, doesn’t it?”Cripes, they’re off again.
